Here is a restoration and modification of a 1976 Jaguar XJ6-C Coupe From 1974-1978, Jaguar produced only 1,855 such cars globally. The vehicles were modified to conform to federal safety standards in the United States. To many Jaguar enthusiasts, this ruined the car’s aesthetic value. Combining that with frequent work stoppages, much of the production was rushed and resulted in an inferior build.
Our customer wanted more than a simple restoration for this rare vehicle. He requested several modifications to update the 1970s style and give it a sleek, modern look. In addition to stripping away multiple layers of paint from years of previous owners, alterations were also made to the body of the vehicle. The finished product sports stylish bumpers, grilles, and lights. The vehicle won the first place prize at the Lime Rock Park Historic Festival on September 15, 2015 in Lakeville, Connecticut.
